Free Family Friendly Arts Day at Long Beach State

Curator of Education Chris Alegria will lead art activities with docents and volunteers are hosting a free family friendly arts and crafts led by museum educators. Make plaster cloth identity masks, and/or make a zine that tells your story. See the new group exhibition, Call and Response, When We Say… You Say, from 12 – 5p.m. Free art activities are Sunday, Feb. 3 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. This will be held at the University Art Museum (UAM), California State University, Long Beach (UAM, CSULB), 1250 Bellflower Blvd.
Enjoy self-reflection and expression, in association with the exhibition, Call and Response, which embraces community perspectives and personal experiences of modern and contemporary art.  The UAM is open with on Sunday as a SoCal Museums’ Annual Free-For-All Day participating organization.  Although the UAM is always free, the museum is only open on Sundays for select special events. All art materials will be provided. Short-term parking ($2-$9) is available in Parking Lot E1, near Brotman Hall. CSULB Parking Map
